Capp's Corner, right next to Beach Blanket Babylon, is the restaurant of choice for those who are seeking "Little Italy" ambiance with great Irish bartenders in San Francisco. This is a favorite place for a hearty lunch or dinner before the show. Serving a family style menu, there are daily specials on the entree menu. Entrees include roast beef, fish and chicken. Flavorful, large bowls of minestrone and salad are served at the table for starters. Entrees always include a choice of a side of pasta. If you like red checkered tablecloths, comfortable meals and family style service, this is the place for you. There is an old fashioned bar up front serviced by their great, gruff, and oft' times Irish bartenders who have been greeting the neighborhood clientele for decades. Drop in for a drink and look around. The walls are filled with San Francisco memorabilia that goes back to the old Seals Baseball Team, the earthquake(s) - Joe Dimaggio and Marilyn Monroe (Norma Jean DiMaggio), (who both loved Capp's Corner and ate there often). Capp's Corner IS the history of San Francisco. As in most great cities, you have to go to the little streets at the back of the main thoroughfare to find the true feeling, and the true feeling of San Francisco can be found right in Capp's Corner. This is where the locals go when they want to feel like they are coming home. This popular destination restaurant reeks of great old fashioned down to earth hospitality. There is ample parking in nearby parking lots. One block off Columbus in North Beach' shopping and nightlife district.
